A new season of Girls rugby has started. Come play for the Brookfield bruisers. We practice Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at St. John on center street. from 4:30 to 6. we have an exciting season this year including the Mid-West Tournament. Is your garage full of bikes that no one rides or don't work? If so, consider donating your used (working or not!) bikes to the Bike Drive at BCHS. Donated bikes will go to a company called Dream Bikes that will teach kids from the Boys and Girls Club of Milwaukee how to fix them, then sell them for a very low price to kids who can't afford new bikes. Collection day is Monday, March 29th at BCHS from 3:15-5:30. See Katie Shannon for details.

Attention Juniors Prom is April 17th and tickets will go on sale during the lunch hours beginning March 22 thru the 26th.  They are $150 a couple or $75 per person and they include Prom, dinner and Post-prom. Boys' Basketball (Through Friday)

The BC Boys Basketball will play Milwaukee Hamilton at 6:00 PM on Friday March 12 at Greenfield High School.  We will be selling tickets ahead of time at school on Thursday and Friday.  Tickets are $4.00 for the Brookfield Central/Hamilton game.  You can purchase a double header ticket for $5.00 if you wish to stay and watch the second game at Greenfield which is Waterford vs. Racine Park.  You can purchase tickets in the BC athletic office both days.  We will also be selling tickets during all 3 lunches on Friday.   When the BC boys win, they will play the winner of the Waterford/Racine Park game on Saturday March 13 at 7:00 pm at Greenfield.   Tickets will go on sale at Greenfield at 6:00 pm on Saturday.

Attendance Office

Attendance Office

FROM THE GUIDANCE OFFICE:  Attention 10th & 11th Grade students:  The Brookfield Rotary Club is again providing a $600 scholarship for one BCHS student to attend the World Affairs Seminar at Carroll University this summer.  The focus of the seminar this summer is the "Global Fresh Water Challenge".   Interested students can get an application in the guidance office or see Mr. Meyer or Mrs. Aussem for additional information.  The application deadline is March 19th.

Reminder..... you can buy coffee, tea and cookies on Thursday and Friday Mornings at the BC cafe.. Room 72.  We open at 7:30. Come on in and enjoy some morning brew

Attendance Office

Here is a reminder from the attendance office:  When you have an unexcused absence, you have one week to clear it before it becomes permanent.  Once again, after one week, unexcused absences cannot be cleared. A great number of students have unexcused absences from last Friday.  You have until this Friday to clear them.  And remember, one unexcused absence for the semester and you are ineligible for an exam exemption. Once again, you have one week to clear any unexcused absences before they become permanent.  If you are unsure if you have any, please check the attendance tab in Infinite Campus.

Girl's Gymnastics

Congratulations to Katelyn Malcore, who tied for 4th place in the floor exercise at the Girl's State Gymnastics meet this past week end. 

German Club

German Club members who are planning on attending the dinner at Kegel Inn on Saturday need to RSVP with Frau Davis or Frau Sommers by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10th.

NHS

There will be a National Honors Society meeting this Wednesday, March 10th at 7:30 in the library. We will discuss respite day details and tutoring.

To Kill a Mockingbird

Due to conferences, auditions for To Kill a Mockingbird will be held Monday, March 8th and Tuesday, March 9th.  Same time - after school.  Same place - Black Box Theater.  No prep is necessary, but scripts are available in the library for those interested. Mockingbird auditions - Monday, March 8th and Tuesday, March 9th.

American Math Association

The LAST American Math Association test will be given this week on March 11 -- COME TO THE LIBRARY immediately after school THURSDAY.  It's an early release day and we will begin at 1 o'clock.  The testing will be finished by 1:45.

Boy's Basketball

The BC Boys Basketball Team won their Regional Final game on Saturday against Whitnall HS. Thanks to all the fans that came out to Whitnall to support the team!  BC will now play Milwaukee Hamilton Friday night at 6pm in the first round of Sectionals, the game will be held at Greenfield High School.  Come and cheer the boys on Friday night - we need a gym full of Lancer fans!  Wear royal blue, the more blue the better - GO BC!

Pi Day' Event at Discovery World

Calling all fans of math and that irrational number of Pi (3.14...). Join the Elmbrook Education Foundation on March 14 for Pi Day. Win a prize for the recitation of the 'longest Pi formula', make a Pi bracelet or key chain, get a Pi tattoo ... and much more! Come and enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of pie on the promenade.  The Pie Sale is sponsored by WaterStone Bank with all proceeds benefitting the Elmbrook Education Foundation.  An extra special offer just for you..... Mention the Elmbrook Education Foundation and receive admission to Discovery World for $10 a person (regular admission is $16.95 adults; $12.95 children). 

Lancerette Try-outs

Hey Girls! If you have a passion for dance, this is for you! Lancerette try-outs for next year's fall and winter seasons will be held March 15th-18th from 5:30-7:00pm in the new gym! Try-outs will be for both JV and Varsity levels. Questions? E-mail Coach Warner at warnerk@elmbrookschools.org

Interested in Politics? Come voice your opinion and discuss current issues with Senator Ted Kanavas next Wednesday March 10. The discussion will happen in Mr. Kacala's Room, 218.

Fine Arts Extravaganza

Alright, now is your chance. Anyone interested in performing in the Fine Arts Extravaganza Assembly on March 31st, please contact Mrs. Schiro ASAP with your proposed act.  We will be taking applications until March 12th.  The final lineup of performers will be announced on March 19th. Remember, if you want to perform, contact Mrs. Schiro to apply by March 12th.

Boy's Track

All boys going out for track.  Be prepared to run outside on Monday. Wear warm cloths and running shoes.  We will be going outside to practice. Also, you need to get your paper work done see Mrs. Taylor for your green to go card before Monday. 

Girls' Basketball

Congratulations to the varsity girls' basketball team.  The Lancers claimed their 3rd consecutive Greater Metro conference championship last night with a 68-26 thrashing of Wauwatosa East.  It is the first 3-peat in school history.  Congratulations!  The Lancers open regionals on Tuesday at home vs. Milwaukee Pulaski at 7:00 pm.
